5-Min Creamy Mango Smoothie

This mango smoothie is thick, cold and naturally sweet, made with frozen mango, a fresh banana and Greek yogurt. It blends in under a minute with no ice, so the flavor stays bright and the texture stays creamy. Serve it as a quick breakfast smoothie, an afternoon snack or the base of a mango smoothie bowl.

Ingredients

For the Smoothie:
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 medium ripe banana sliced
  • 3/4 cup cold whole milk plus extra if needed
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 to 2 tbsp honey optional
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • Small pinch of ground cardamom optional
To Serve:
  • Diced mango or mint leaves

Equipment

  • 1 High speed blender blends frozen fruit until smooth
  • 1 Silicone spatula scrapes the jug clean
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons keep the texture consistent
  • 1 Tamper pushes frozen chunks into the blades

Method

  1. Add milk and yogurt to the blender first.
  2. Add banana, honey, lime juice and cardamom.
  3. Top with frozen mango chunks.
  4. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on high for 45 to 60 seconds until glossy and smooth.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of milk if too thick and pulse 5 times.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish.
  7. Always add the liquid first and the frozen mango last, so the blades pull the fruit down and you avoid air pockets.

Notes

  • Use fully frozen mango for the thickest result.
  • Do not blend longer than 90 seconds, or the drink will warm up.
Storage: Refrigerate in a full airtight jar for up to 24 hours, or freeze in trays for up to 3 months.
